Africa-Press – Guin\u00e9e. <\/strong><\/span>Le projet d\u2019exploitation du minerai de fer du mont Simandou semble avoir atteint un point historique. Les accords affe\u0301rents vont biento\u0302t e\u0302tre soumis au Conseil National de la Transition (CNT) en vue de leur adoption et ratification. Cette annonce a e\u0301te\u0301 faite le vendredi 11 aou\u0302t a\u0300 Conakry par le Pre\u0301sident du Conseil d\u2019Administration de Rio Tinto Simfer, Gerard Rheinberger, lors d\u2019un de\u0301jeuner de presse.<\/p>\n

Cette ratification marquera la conclusion d\u2019un processus qui a de\u0301bute\u0301 avec la signature de l\u2019accord-cadre en mars 2022, suivie de celle du pacte d\u2019actionnariat en mars 2023, puis des accords fondateurs pour les infrastructures portuaires et ferroviaires du TransGuine\u0301en, signe\u0301s ce jeudi 10 aou\u0302t.<\/p>\n

Selon M. Rheinberger, \u00ab un processus de ratification des accords de co-de\u0301veloppement et de tous les documents (en passant par l\u2019adoption, ndlr) par le CNT interviendra dans les prochaines semaines.\u00bb<\/p>\n

Concernant la participation de la Guine\u0301e, le Pre\u0301sident du Conseil d\u2019Administration de Simfer SA pre\u0301cise : \u00ab les 15 % de participation gratuite pour l\u2019E\u0301tat ont e\u0301te\u0301 discute\u0301s de\u0300s le mois de mars 2022 dans l\u2019accord-cadre. Les partenaires industriels ont conce\u0301de\u0301 au gouvernement cette participation gratuite dans les infrastructures. Et elle a e\u0301te\u0301 de\u0301finitivement consigne\u0301e dans le pacte d\u2019actionnaires signe\u0301 le 8 mars 2023. Tous ces documents seront adopte\u0301s par le parlement, il n\u2019y aura donc pas de re\u0301ouverture de ce dossier \u00bb.<\/p>\n

Pour confirmer ce point, le communique\u0301 conjoint des investisseurs de\u0301clare ceci : \u00abla signature de ces accords constitue une e\u0301tape de\u0301cisive, e\u0301tablissant un cadre complet pour les infrastructures majeures du projet Simandou et mettant en e\u0301vidence l\u2019engagement inde\u0301fectible de toutes les parties implique\u0301es pour sa re\u0301alisation. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Une autre information importante de l\u2019e\u0301change avec le PCA de Rio Tinto Simfer est que Moribaya n\u2019est pas un port en eau profonde. \u00ab Le plan initial pre\u0301voyait la construction d\u2019une jete\u0301e de 18 km pour acce\u0301der aux navires en eau profonde. Cependant, cela s\u2019est ave\u0301re\u0301 e\u0301conomiquement non rentable et trop cou\u0302teux. Des barges pour WCS et des \u00ab Transhipment Vessels \u00bb pour Rio Tinto assureront le transport du minerai vers des navires de grande capacite\u0301 a\u0300 18 km des co\u0302tes, ce qui garantira la viabilite\u0301 e\u0301conomique du projet \u00bb, informe M. Rheinberger.<\/p>\n
