C\u2019est un effet ne\u0301faste des confinements de 2020. Le temps moyen passe\u0301 devant les e\u0301crans par les 3-18 ans est passe\u0301 de 162 minutes par jour (2 h 42) a\u0300 246 minutes (4 h 6) par jour pendant la pande\u0301mie, selon une e\u0301tude internationale portant sur 30 000 enfants de diffe\u0301rentes nationalite\u0301s. Les auteurs expliquent que \u00ab pour faire face a\u0300 ces perturbations sans pre\u0301ce\u0301dent des conditions de vie normales, de nombreux enfants et familles ont probablement utilise\u0301 des appareils nume\u0301riques pour occuper leur temps durant la pande\u0301mie \u00bb.<\/p>\n

Pour arriver a\u0300 ces conclusions, les chercheurs de l\u2019universite\u0301 de Calgary, de l\u2019Alberta Children\u2019s Hospital Research Institute et de l\u2019University College Dublin se sont appuye\u0301s sur 46 e\u0301tudes portant sur la pe\u0301riode de janvier 2020 a\u0300 mars 2022. Ils soulignent que les adolescents de 12 a\u0300 18 ans sont ceux qui ont montre\u0301 la plus grande augmentation de temps d\u2019e\u0301cran avec en moyenne 110 minutes supple\u0301mentaires par jour.<\/p>\n

L\u2019e\u0301tude pointe surtout une augmentation du temps passe\u0301 devant son ordinateur ou son smartphone et l\u2019explique par leur usage dans le cadre scolaire et la ne\u0301cessite\u0301 d\u2019avoir des interactions avec ses proches, malgre\u0301 les privations de sortie. Elle rappelle toutefois que maintenant que les confinements sont derrie\u0300re nous, il serait bon de \u00ab mode\u0301rer l\u2019utilisation quotidienne de ces outils \u00bb et de \u00ab promouvoir l\u2019activite\u0301 physique sans appareil \u00bb chez les enfants et les adolescents.<\/p>\n
