Cette mission, baptise\u0301e Crew Flight Test (CFT), constitue le test final avant que le Starliner puisse e\u0302tre utilise\u0301 re\u0301gulie\u0300rement pour transporter des e\u0301quipages de la Terre vers la Station spatiale internationale (ISS) et inversement. Le lancement aura lieu depuis le complexe de lancement 41 de Cap Canaveral en Floride, a\u0300 l\u2019aide d\u2019une fuse\u0301e Atlas V de United Launch Alliance. Un e\u0301quipage de deux astronautes de la Nasa prendra part a\u0300 ce vol, il s\u2019agit de Barry \u00ab Butch \u00bb Wilmore et Sunita Williams. La mission est pre\u0301vue pour durer huit jours.<\/p>\n

Troisie\u0300me vol du Starliner<\/b><\/p>\n

Il s\u2019agira du troisie\u0300me vol d\u2019essai orbital du Starliner, apre\u0300s les deux pre\u0301ce\u0301dents vols sans e\u0301quipage re\u0301alise\u0301s en de\u0301cembre 2019 et en mai 2022. Le premier de ces vols, baptise\u0301 OFT-1, n\u2019a pas re\u0301ussi a\u0300 atteindre la Station spatiale internationale comme pre\u0301vu et l\u2019enque\u0302te qui a suivi a re\u0301ve\u0301le\u0301 divers proble\u0300mes sur la capsule. Le deuxie\u0300me vol orbital OFT-2 a e\u0301te\u0301 plus re\u0301ussi avec seulement un petit souci avec le processus d\u2019amarrage avec l\u2019ISS.<\/p>\n

En ce qui concerne les difficulte\u0301s rencontre\u0301es lors du pre\u0301ce\u0301dent vol du Starliner, la Nasa et Boeing ont corrige\u0301 les de\u0301fauts en question. L\u2019un des proble\u0300mes concernait l\u2019arre\u0302t pre\u0301mature\u0301 de deux des propulseurs de man\u0153uvre orbitale et de contro\u0302le d\u2019assiette (Omac) du Starliner. Le ve\u0301hicule a e\u0301galement connu des proble\u0300mes avec les petits propulseurs du syste\u0300me RCS qui permet le contro\u0302le d\u2019attitude et des man\u0153uvres d\u2019alignement d\u2019attitude extre\u0302mement pre\u0301cises ainsi que des lectures de pression anormalement e\u0301leve\u0301es dans son syste\u0300me de contro\u0302le thermique. Enfin, le capteur e\u0301lectro-optique Vesta (Vision-based Electro-optical Sensor Tracking Assembly), qui permet au Starliner d\u2019identifier la Station afin de s\u2019amarrer au bon port sur le module Harmony, ne s\u2019est pas comporte\u0301 exactement comme pre\u0301vu bien qu\u2019il ait rempli son objectif.<\/p>\n
