Raila accuses Narok Governor Ntutu of frustrating ODM

Africa-Press – Kenya. Azimio Leader Raila Odinga has opened a warpath with Narok Governor Patrick ole Ntutu accusing him of frustrating opposition parties in the county.

Raila who was in Narok on Sunday for a thanksgiving ceremony of ODM vice chair Christine Lemein, accused governor Ntutu of interfering with the ODM party.

“Huyo gavana yenu eti anasema ati watu wa ODM wataenda wapi. Waende wapi? Yeye anajua siku ODM ilitengenezw?” Raila posed.

(Your governor is saying ‘where will ODM people go.’ Go where. Does he know when ODM was formed?)

While hosting President William Ruto in Narok during the Maa cultural week held in Sekenani on August 23, governor Ntutu promised the Head of State that he would turn the county into a fully UDA zone.

Raila further claimed the county boss was using his position to rubber stamp his election that had been contested in court.

Ntutu’s challenger and former Narok North MP Motalel ole Kenta later withdrew the case from court, effectively allowing Ntutu a five-year reign at the helm of Narok county.

“Kama yeye anajiamini sii atoke ofisini turudi kwa debe…sisi tutamshinda (If he is so confiddent of himself, let him leave office for a rerun…we shall defeat him,” added the Azimio leader.

When reached for comment, governor Ntutu refused to be drawn into issues raised by Raila saying, “What everybody should know is that Narok is fully behind President William Ruto.”
