Africa-Press – Kenya. Narok Senator Ledama Olekina has said that the ODM party will be holding their grassroots elections early this year.
Speaking on a Day Break discussion on Citizen TV on Monday, Olekina said that the ODM grassroots election will take place this year.
“We need to get more people to be registered as members of the ODM Party which has been taking place nationally,” Olekina said.
“We are going to be looking at the grassroots election and also member recruitment in Narok County around March,” he noted.
Ledama has urged Kenyans to continue joining the party since they are growing and becoming stronger.
Olekina said ODM is a strong member of the Azimio coalition and urged their colleagues in their other affiliate parties of the coalition to stand strong.
“ODM is a member of Azimio and we are stronger together. We are calling all our colleagues in the affiliate parties of Azimio to be able to stand strong,” he said.
“There is nothing wrong in having ambitions on who should become a candidate in 2027 but I think that we must strengthen our parties and bring everything on the table.”
