Africa-Press – Kenya. President William Ruto on Wednesday extended his congratulations to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his historic re-election in the recently concluded Indian elections.
Ruto acknowledged the significance of the Indian people’s democratic resilience saying that this is another testament to the strength of the world’s largest democracy.
“I wish to congratulate the people of India for once again affirming to the world the vibrancy and maturity of their democracy,” Ruto said.
He also expressed his confidence in Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and commitment to a better India which he said he believes will enhance the unity and prosperity of the nation.
“As you move forward, Your Excellency Modi, I am confident that your commitment to a better India will accelerate growth and development, and enhance the unity and prosperity of the nation,” Ruto said in a statement on X.
Ruto added that as a partner and friend to Modi, Kenya looks forward to further strengthening bilateral relations and working together with India.
“The bilateral relations will galvanize the search for cooperative solutions to the most formidable challenges that threaten the stability of the world and its sustainability, including conflicts, the climate crisis and the debt burden.”
