Over 200 Footballers Coaches and Referees Attend Clinic

Africa-Press – Kenya. Over 200 budding footballers, local coaches, referees, and stakeholders gathered for the first-ever FKF Youth Football Development Clinic in Vihiga, organised by the FKF Vihiga County Branch in partnership with the FKF National Office.

Led by former Kenyan international Musa Otieno and FKF Youth Development Officer Daniel Mwaura, the clinic focused on laying a strong foundation for structured U13, U15, and U17 leagues for both boys and girls in the region.

Hosted at Vihiga High School, the event also brought together schools including Nyang’ori, Madira, Ibubi, Gisambai, and Muhanda Junior Secondary. Strengthening school football remains a key step in building a sustainable pathway for young talent. The journey to nurturing future stars at the grassroots continues.

Meanwhile, a key partnership between FKF Nairobi West Branch and Luton Hospital was officially formalised today to enhance medical support in grassroots football within the region.

At the event, 48 newly trained matchday medics graduated and will now be deployed across both the men’s and women’s regional leagues under the branch’s jurisdiction.

FKF President Hussein Mohammed, who graced the ceremony, congratulated the graduates and thanked Luton Hospital for their continued support in advancing player welfare at the grassroots level.
