Africa-Press – Kenya. Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has reiterated the government’s commitment to delivering services to all Kenyans across the country without discrimination.

Speaking in Katangi, Yatta Constituency, Machakos County during Saccos and groups’ Empowerment Program, Kindiki called on Kenyans to shun the leaders who are preaching division and disunity.

“Kenya is one country, and we can all benefit from the resources we have in every part of Kenya. We all pay taxes, and we deserve equal treatment; therefore, no one should be punished for their political inclinations,” he said.

The DP said that he will continue traversing all parts of the country, explaining to Kenyans the programs the government is undertaking and others to be rolled out despite harsh criticism from detractors.

“We need to tell the people of Kenya what the government is doing, let alone our detractors, we are not campaigning now. It is a good time to deliver, and when campaign time comes, everybody will produce their track record,” added Kindiki.

The DP announced that the Kenya Kwanza government is concurrently running five major job creation programs targeting digital jobs, overseas jobs and Climate WorX Program and others.

The affordable housing program and the construction of fresh produce modern markets across the country will turn around the economy of the country and put more money in the pockets of Kenyans.

He highlighted other development activities being undertaken countrywide that include the construction of hostels for universities, TVET and other tertiary institutions through the affordable housing program.

“We are building hostels for our students so that we give them a good environment for learning and avoid challenges of alcoholism and drug abuse,” said Kindiki.

Machakos University will benefit from the construction of 2,500 units for Sh2 billion, Matuu Technical Institute College, 340 Units worth Sh165 million, while 200 affordable houses will be put up in Matuu Town.

Other government programs are also going on in Machakos County, including the last-mile electricity connectivity worth Sh1.4 billion to benefit 6,500 new households, which includes Sh70 million for 500 new households in Yatta Constituency.

The Deputy President also announced that the government will prioritise the construction of the Matuu-Ikombe-Katangi Road among others.

Kindiki was accompanied by MPs Vincent Musyoka (Mwala), Joshua Mwalyo (Masinga), Nimrod Mbai (Kitui East), Mwengi Mutuse (Kibwezi West), Yatta politician Anastacia Muendo and Mama Rahab Muiu (Chairperson- Maendeleo ya Wanawake) and other grassroots leaders.
