Mudavadi Backs Ruto, Predicts 2027 Re-Election

Africa-Press – Kenya. Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi rallied the Luhya community to support President William Ruto’s second bid for the country’s top job, insisting that he will win the 2027 election.

Mudavadi said he holds on to the prediction despite the shifting political dynamics.

He equated the 2027 election to 2022 when he backed Ruto using his famous ‘Earthquake’ pronouncement and even though many did not believe, Ruto emerged victorious.

He urged residents of Western Kenya and the country at large to stay united and continue supporting the President’s agenda, which he said reflects a shared vision for national development.

The Prime CS spoke at the funeral of Mama Mildred Wanyama wife to legendary AFC Leopards midfielder Mzee Noah Wanyama and the mother to Kenya’s renowned international footballers Mc Donald Mariga and Victor Wanyama in Soy, Uasin Gishu County.

He said the direction he is advising the people of Western Kenya and the nation to take is for the political good moving into the future.

He reminded Kenyans to remain focused and forthright as a people and work towards a common goal.

“I gave you direction before the election of 2022, others thought I was giving you the wrong direction, I was right and a number were wrong. Mark my words, in 2027 William Ruto is going to succeed through the ballot for his second term. I am telling you our people of Western Kenya and the whole country listen to the message I am giving you; it is going to happen,” said Mudavadi.

He said the development plan and agenda moving towards the 2027 general election will give Ruto an upper hand as compared to any presidential competitor who will emerge.

Mudavadi said the President wants to build the country, for the better beginning with changing the transport network in Nairobi.

“He will ensure that the upcoming Nairobi Railways City becomes more popular and transport in our city of Nairobi can be improved, more convenient, and more affordable to the population that is growing.

The Prime CS said the President also successfully negotiated a new financing model with China to extend the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) from Naivasha in Nakuru county through the county of Kisumu to Malaba border in Busia County, a long-awaited milestone for the Lake Region and beyond.

He said this would mark a significant step toward unlocking economic opportunities for millions of Kenyans, particularly in Western Kenya.

Mudavadi took a swipe at the newly formed opposition front for misleading Kenyans on the projections of the Kenyan economy.

“Someone stands up and says he will change the economy, I have been the finance minister and I can tell you these people talking on the streets know nothing about the economy and how to turn it around. I am telling Kenyans the truth, changing the economy, especially one you found in debt, is not a joke.”
