Africa-Press – Kenya. New Police FC head coach Dusan Stojanovic will be seeking to defend the Football Kenya Federation League title this season.
The new Sheriff in town started his tenure on a narrow 1-0 win over Sofapaka on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Police Sacco grounds.
Despite the narrow win over “Batoto ba Mungu,” Stojanovic believes the match was tough and could have swung either way.
“This is just the first win but we are looking for the next one and even more. it is behind us and we have to move on and look for another one to the next match,” said Stojanovic
Stojanovic was more aggressive in the first half, which culminated in Edward Omondi scoring the lone goal in the 40th minute. He, however, played a cautious game in the second half, switching to a low-block defence.

“As we chase the league title, we will see what the future brings. The league has so many competitive teams, and we expect a tough 2025/2026 season,” Stojanovic said.
Meanwhile, his counterpart Ezekiel Akwana cried foul of poor officiating, blaming the center referee of biasness.
“The referee made numerous suspicious calls that didn’t auger well with us. I feel he was biased and made it difficult for us with 50/50 calls going against us,” said Akwana
Stojanovic, who guided Uganda’s SC Villa to the league title in the 2023/24 season, next battles record 21-time champions Gor Mahia on Sunday.
