Africa-Press – Kenya. Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo has praised President William Ruto’s development initiatives in the Nyanza region, noting that the projects launched over the past three years have contributed to community development and representation in government.

Speaking during a funeral service in Homa Bay, Omollo highlighted the programmes and projects initiated under President Ruto, emphasizing their perceived impact on the local community.

“There is no leader in this country who has worked for our people more than President Ruto in the three years he has been in office,” Omollo said.

He also referenced the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, saying, “When God took Raila, he did so at a time when he had already helped our community secure representation in government.”

Omollo cautioned local leaders and political aspirants against actions that could mislead voters regarding the community’s position in government.

“Let nobody in this region attempt to push our people out of government. Those seeking office should avoid creating confusion among the community,” he said.

He encouraged those who believe they have alternative leadership options to make their positions clear rather than causing divisions.

“If there is someone who believes they can do more than President Ruto, they should openly state their preference and support their chosen candidate, but they should not create confusion. We are clear that our community intends to support him for a second term,” Omollo added.

He also highlighted the development progress in Homa Bay, stating that the community values concrete actions over promises.

“In Homa Bay, he received fewer than 3,000 votes, yet his initiatives over the past three years have had tangible impacts, which we consider significant compared to promises made in previous decades,” Omollo said.

He concluded by reiterating what he described as a unified position within the Luo community regarding the upcoming election.

“Those from this region should understand that our support for President Ruto is firm. As a community, we are backing him without conditions,” he said.
