New Kenya Revenue Authority Commissioner General Adan Abdulla Mohamed has suffered his first legal setback just hours after his appointment, following the filing of a petition challenging the recruitment process at the Milimani High Court in Nairobi.
The petition, filed on May 19, seeks immediate court intervention to halt the implementation of the appointment.
Subsequently, Justice Gregory Mutai of the Milimani High Court issued directions outlining strict timelines for the service of court documents and the filing of responses by all parties.
According to court directives, the petitioner is required to serve the court documents on the respondents by May 20.
The respondents, meanwhile, must file their responses to the notice of motion by 5pm on May 22, 2026, ahead of the scheduled hearing.
