Africa-Press – Kenya. Eight people were on Thursday, December 2, trapped after a gold mine collapsed at Abimbo, Siaya County.
The incident was confirmed by Bondo police boss, Roselyne Cheboso, who stated that 10 people were initially trapped but two had been rescued at the time of publishing this story.
A rescue operation has since been launched to retrieve the other miners who have been buried in the debris
