Africa-Press – Kenya. Police have launched manhunt for two suspects who were involved in a shooting incident that left one dead.
According to an incident report released on Saturday, the deceased was a police officer identified as Lucky Tsuma.
A witness reported that when he was walking home near Vumilia slum in the Donholm area on Friday, he heard somebody screaming behind him then followed by a gunshot.
It was during that moment that he saw two people escaping on a motorcycle.
“Police officers were informed and rushed to the scene where they found the deceased and identified him as a police officer,” read the police report.
“He had a single gunshot wound on the chest which exited from the back.”
Police recovered a spent cartridge, a bullet head and his wallet which had Sh4, 850.
Others recovered items includes a police pocket phone, police baton, name tag and reflector jacket.
His body was taken to Mama Lucy Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmoterm.
The motive of the murder is yet to be stablished.
