Africa-Press – Kenya. John Musunga, Managing Director at Kenya Breweries Limited, has been appointed as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Guinness Nigeria on Tuesday.
Guinness Nigeria is a subsidiary of Diageo which is an International Spirit brand in Nigeria.
In a tweet from East Africa Breweries Limited, the company said the appointment will be effective from November 1, 2022.
Muraguri has been described as a seasoned leader with local and international leadership experience.
He joined KBL 19 months ago.
“He led the business recovery through Covid-19, achieving phenomenal growth,” the tweet stated.
Musunga had a highly successful career at GSK prior to his appointment, working at senior levels in Eastern Africa, Southern Africa and Europe.
He also served as a Non-Executive Director for the Vision 2030 Board in Kenya and chaired the Kenya Association of Pharmaceuticals Industry and the Kenya HIV/AIDS Business Council.
