According to one of the organisers Jaycox Mwavali, the tournament will be played in Kakamega, Kisumu and Eldoret.

According to Mwavali, the event will bring together Kenya Cup, Kenya Rugby Union Championship and Nationwide clubs.

In the Eldoret region, KRU Championship rivals Moi University, Eldoret RFC and Nationwide side Kitale RFC will face off.

In Kakamega region, Kabras Sugar and MMUST have been given a bye to the quarter-finals. However, Western Bulls, Bungoma, Mbale and Vihiga Granites will battle for other quarter-final slots.

Former Kenya Cup sides Kisumu RFC and Kisii RFC headline the Kisumu region pool. Other teams in the pool include Maseno and Siaya RFC.

Mwavali, the Kisumu RFC secretary added that the tournament will be played in the Impala Floodlit format with the quarter-finals to finals being played at Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Kisumu.
