Africa-Press – Kenya. Construction of all stalled road projects will resume in January, President William Ruto has said.
Ruto said the delay was due to a debt which he stated amounts to Sh900 billion.
“We have stalled road projects because we lack money to work on them. The work needs a new plan and new brains,” he said
“My administration intends to introduce new legislation to guarantee the sourcing of funds to ensure all these infrastructural projects are completed.”
This, he said, will only succeed through the support of Parliament.
Ruto said regardless of the time it will, they are focused on restarting the projects to pave way for new ones.
He spoke during the official opening of Devki Samburu Integrated Steel Plant in Kwale.
