Africa-Press – Kenya. Vihiga senator Godfrey Osotsi now wants President William Ruto to unveil his development record for the 100 days he has been in office.
Osotsi while speaking in various functions within Vihiga County said President Ruto made promises to Kenyans that he needs to explain whether he has achieved them or not.
“I won’t give up. I will put Ruto’s administration on their toes until they deliver what they promised Kenyans,” Osotsi said.
“Mr President you promised Kenyans food but up to now those Kenyans who are totally in need of that food are yet to get it,” he added.
The lawmaker said arid and semi-arid areas like Marsabit, Turkana, Samburu Wajir, and Garissa, should be given priority over other parts of the Country.
Osotsi further said the hustler fund is not helping Kenyans.
“We were told that a hustler fund will be in place to caution our people from poverty via small business enterprises,” he said.
“But what our people are being given out there can’t run any business in this economic situation we are in now.”
President Ruto while campaigning promised to avail about Sh50 billion into small business enterprises.
The lawmaker also told off those moving to government citing that they are targeting to weaken the opposition so that the government lacks sober counter-checks in their works.
“Some people are just running to the government citing that they want to do development for their person, that is a joke,” he said.
He said Kenyan Budget is being prepared and implemented by the National Assembly where all required developments across the board are captured in.
Osotsi said once any development program has been captured, the budget can’t be changed at any cost.
He further said President Ruto duped former ANC party boss Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula over 30 per cent share of the administration.
The lawmaker says the slots that the duo were given are yet to hit 30 per cent citing the beneficiaries of that administration were the Mt.Kenya and Rift Valley members.
He said he will remain principled and focused to serve the Kenyan citizens saying that he won’t be manipulated at any cost.
