Africa-Press – Kenya. President William Ruto’s Cabinet has scored 45 per cent, which equates to grade D in the latest survey conducted by Infotrak. According to Infotrak’s grading system, grade D ranges from 40 per cent to 49 per cent.

In the survey, fifty-two per cent of Kenyans believe that the ministries performed poorly. “28 per cent of Kenyans say Ruto-led ministries have performed averagely.”

14 per cent of Kenyans believe the ministries have performed well, while 6 per cent say they have excellently performed. Infotrak said Kenyans rated the overall performance of the various ministries in the first 100 days after swearing in.

The survey was conducted between February 21 to February 24 where 2,149 respondents were across 8 regions across the 47 counties. The poll had a +/- 2.1 margin of error.

Ministry of Information, Communication and the Digital Economy was ranked as the best-performing ministry. Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo-led ministry attained 54 per cent for its overall performance.

Owalo is closely followed by the Kipchumba Murkomen’s Ministry of Roads and Transport at 50 per cent. Aden Duale’s Ministry of Defence comes in third with 49 per cent, followed by the Ministry of Tourism which was ranked at 48 per cent.

Njuguna Ndung’u Ministry of National Treasury was ranked 35 per cent. It tied with Davis Chirchir’s led-Ministry of Energy and Petroleum. Ministry of Water followed by 40 per cent and Simon Chelugui-led Ministry of labour at 41 per cent.
