Africa-Press – Kenya. Ulinzi Starlets head coach Joseph Wambua has lashed out at his strikers, who misfired during their weekend Women’s Premier League match against Bunyore Starlets at Ulinzi Sports Complex in Nairobi.
Wambua said they had enough chances to cripple their opponents but failed to convert not even one as the match ended 0-0.
He observed that his defence and midfield departments worked just fine and he now has to work on arresting their problems in front of goal.
“I was not happy with a draw. I expected to win the match. We badly needed those three points but I have no option but to take the point,” Wambua said.
He blamed his side for underrating Bunyore in the hope of sliding over them but the visitors proved a worthy opponent.
Meanwhile, Bunyore tactician Daniel Arunga was comfortable with a point on the road, saying: “That one point is key as we fight for a slot in the top four teams.”
He said they now have four points in their matches against Ulinzi and Saturday’s point has motivated his time ahead of their next match.
Bunyore beat Ulinzi Starlets 2-1 at Mumboha ground in the reverse fixture.
