Africa-Press – Kenya. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has unmasked the prime suspected behind the broad daylight shooting of Samuel Mugoh Muvota in Nairobi’s Mirema Drive in Kasarani area.

According to a DCI statement dated Friday, May 20, the suspect, a Mr Denis Karani Gachoki, is believed to the man behind the heinous shooting that was caught on CCTV camera.

The report further detail that the wanted assailant is in possession of a firearm that was snatched from a stupefied police officer in Mombasa in November 2020.

“Efforts by detectives to arrest him have been futile since the thug, who is well loaded, influences rogue cops who tip him off once an operation for his arrest has been launched,” the DCI stated.

The DCI further revealed that Karani gunned down Muvota, who was his alleged boss, after a fallout over sharing of proceeds from their drink spiking trade.

“This, among other beef, are suspected to have led to a bitter fallout leading to Monday’s daylight murder of Samuel Mugoh Muvota, who has left behind seven grieving widows and many children,” DCI stated.

Further reports gathered by Forensic Cyber detectives reportedly picked Karani’s last signal deep inside Burnt forest, hours after the murder.

“We believe that the suspect has already crossed the border to a neighbouring country,” noted DCI.

The detectives, however, asked the members of the public to share information that may lead to his arrest through the toll free line: 0800 722 203.

The unmasking of the suspect comes hours after DCI revealed that Mutova lived a dark life characterised by criminal activities including executing multi-million heists targeting party-goers.

The further listed club Switch in Kasarani, Whisky River along Kiambu road, Red Lion in Ruaka, Oklahoma Choma Zone, Lacascada, Aroma, Backroom, Mkwanju, and Dragon, as the playground for drinks spikers.
