Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Women have been urged to embrace support groups and create financial institutions that will support savings, investments and access to credit.<\/p>\n

Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi has said women are a great pillar in society and their coming together will create a significant step towards financial independence, stability and economic empowerment.<\/p>\n

“As Government, you\u2019ll have our undivided support. You are an inspiration when we see you come together in efforts to pave the way for economic advancements not only for individual gain but also for families, communities and the nation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He spoke when he launched the Western Kenya Muslim Women Sacco in Kakamega, during the annual Western Kenya Muslim Women Qur\u2019an Memorization Competition, held at Kakamega Muslim Secondary School.<\/p>\n

Mudavadi lauded the Sacco saying it will be a gate-opener to the growth of the economy of the Western Kenya region, and urged women and youth from other regions to follow the example.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have made us proud because the establishment of this Sacco showcases the importance of inclusive economic growth and highlights the valuable contributions that our diverse communities make to the nation’s prosperity. It is a testament to the unstoppable spirit of our nation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Mudavadi saluted not only the Muslim women from the region but also across the board for putting their best foot forward and embracing the spirit of togetherness saying in unity there is strength.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Sharia Compliance Sacco demonstrates an admirable endeavour of entrepreneurship, resilience, and unwavering determination to change financial fortunes for a better tomorrow,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

“Let us remember that the aspiration of these women was not merely to compete, but a call to action for other Western women. Together, we can build a society that reflects the noble values and teachings of sacred scriptures.\u201d<\/p>\n

The event which attracted Muslim women from Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia and Trans Nzoia counties was also aimed at inculcating the reading and memorization of the Noble Qur\u2019an among women and the society in the region.<\/p>\n

“I express my gratitude to the organizers, judges, and volunteers who have worked tirelessly to make this competition a success for the fifth year. Their efforts have ensured that this event serves as a platform for excellence, learning, and unity,” Mudavadi said.<\/p>\n

\u201cCongratulations to each participant, not just for their achievements in the competition but for the dedication and perseverance they have demonstrated in this noble journey. May their love for the Holy Qu\u2019ran and its teachings continue to illuminate their lives and those around them.”<\/p>\n

In a world filled with uncertainties, Mudavadi noted that religious teachings provide solace, guidance, and a moral compass.<\/p>\n

Through religious learning and teachings, he said societies are constantly reminded of the importance of compassion, justice, and humility.<\/p>\n

He said communities are encouraged to seek knowledge, foster peace, and establish strong bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood.<\/p>\n

“Participants in this event serve as role models for us all, inspiring us to strive for continuous spiritual growth and the pursuit of knowledge,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a great example of having faith and believing in the noble Book that holds a special place in the hearts and minds of Muslims worldwide. Such faith serves as a guide, a source of spiritual nourishment, and a beacon of wisdom. Such faith informs us that the Holy Qur\u2019an is also not just a book, but a way of life that embodies profound teachings and principles,” he said.<\/p>\n
