Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Kisii Governor Simba Arati on Sunday caused a light moment over what he claimed was a protocol hitch during a church service attended by President William Ruto.<\/p>\n

Ruto was attending an interdenominational Thanksgiving service at Nyanturago Stadium in Nyaribari Chache.<\/p>\n

Arati, who had just concluded giving his remarks, regretted what he termed as a move to bungle the program, saying he was supposed to speak last and welcome the President.<\/p>\n

\u201cNajua mlivunja protocol…unajua mimi ndio ningefaa kukaribisha rais, ordinarily,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cLakini wacha nimwite Kimani Ichung’wah, huyu tumekuwa naye bungeni… karibu halafu utaleta Machogu. Hata kama mlivunja protocol sisi ikivunjika hatuna shida tunafanya kazi tu.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Ichung’wah took to the podium, he apologised to the governor over the hitch.<\/p>\n

“Bwana gavana tunakuomba msamaha,” he said.<\/p>\n

Arati was welcomed to the stage by South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro.<\/p>\n

In his address, Ruto praised Osoro, saying the ruling coalition did not err in having him as the majority whip at the National Assembly, noting he can deliver.<\/p>\n
