Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>President William Ruto on Tuesday marked his five-day tour of the Western region. The President was in the Western region to launch projects and meet with leaders.<\/p>\n

He ended his trip in Vihiga County by launching the construction of the 20.8-kilometre Mago-Mululu-Wangulu and Lusui-Vokoli roads. The President and a host of leaders also inspected the work in progress on the Gisambai-Hamisi-Senende road.<\/p>\n

Ruto said investing in the construction and maintenance of roads is an investment in farmers and enterprises in rural Kenya. “The investment is a way to connect them to opportunities and spark economic growth from the grassroots,” he said.<\/p>\n

He was accompanied by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula, and Cabinet Secretaries among other leaders.<\/p>\n
