Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>ODM party will hold its grassroots elections early next year.<\/p>\n

This was arrived at during the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The meeting was chaired by the national chairman John Mbadi.<\/p>\n

“The party will hold its grassroots elections early next year. The dates for this exercise will announced by the National Executive Committee,” the party statement stated.<\/p>\n

The party’s NEC met under the leadership of party leader Raila Odinga to deliberate on various agendas.<\/p>\n

It will be the first time the party holds its election after a long time.<\/p>\n

Various members and supporters of the party have previously been calling for elections to boost the leadership of the outfit.<\/p>\n

However attempts to hold elections have been postponed numerous times for various reasons.<\/p>\n
