Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi will make a three-day official visit to the United Kingdom beginning Sunday.<\/p>\n

The trip comes after a visit to Kenya by UK\u2019s Minister of State in the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Andrew Mitchell to co-launch the Sh28 billion Nairobi Railway City project.<\/p>\n

The iconic climate-resilient urban development project is the first of its kind in Africa. It will provide seamless integration to the city\u2019s transport nodes through an expanded Central Station, new bus rapid transit (BRT) lines and stations as well as a revamped matatu termini.<\/p>\n

In London, the highlights of the Prime Cabinet Secretary\u2019s visit will include a meeting with Oxford Management Policy (OPM) at the Kenya High Commission to receive a report on \u201cRapid Thicker Diagnostic for Kenya\u201d.<\/p>\n

OPM assists low- and middle-income countries achieve growth and reduce poverty through public policy reform.<\/p>\n

Mudavadi will also meet Boston Consulting Group (BCG) partners at the Kenya High Commission to discuss partnerships in business.<\/p>\n

BCG is the lead implementing partner for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office\u2019s Growth Gateway programme which facilitates two-way trade and investment between the UK and low and middle income countries.<\/p>\n

\u201cKenya is one of the six priority countries for this programme,\u201d said a statement by Kibisu Kabatesi, Secretary, Government Strategic Communications.<\/p>\n

Mudavadi will further meet Huw Merriman, MP and Minister of State for a reaffirmation of Her Majesty\u2019s Government and Government of Kenya joint commitment to partnering on Nairobi Railway City.<\/p>\n

He will also meet Network Rail Chair, Lord Peter Hendy.<\/p>\n

Accompanying Mudavadi will be senior officials from the Ministry of Transport and the Kenya Railway Corporation.<\/p>\n
