Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Brussels Airlines plans to resume flights to Nairobi starting next year, with the route operating six times weekly during the summer and four times per week in the winter.<\/p>\n

Following the Airline\u2019s addition of a tenth aircraft, the Airline is set to be operational next summer with flight tickets beginning their sales on September 13 2023 and the first flight set for June 2024.<\/p>\n

Brussels Airlines last served Nairobi between 2002 and 2015.<\/p>\n

Outbound flights will leave Brussels in the morning and arrive in Nairobi in the evening while inbound flights will depart from Nairobi in the evening and arrive in Brussels in the morning.<\/p>\n

\u201cKenya remains a focus market for Lufthansa Group in East Africa, largely driven by the significant increase in demand and resurgence in travel, coupled with the immense support of the local community within the region,\u201d Lufthansa Group East Africa General Manager Kevin Markette said.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cI am pleased that we continue to grow our presence in Kenya, underlining Lufthansa Group\u2019s commitment to Kenya and the region as a whole.”<\/p>\n

The Lufthansa Group will offer a total of 18 weekly connections to Kenya in the summer of 2024, including daily Lufthansa flights to the capital and five-times-weekly Discover Airlines flights to Mombasa<\/p>\n

Additionally, the new long-haul aircraft has seen the Airline increase its connections between Brussels and Kigali, Rwanda to a daily service.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWith the addition of Nairobi to our network, daily frequencies to Kigali and extra flights to West Africa, we offer more choice to our passengers travelling to and from Africa than ever,\u201d Brussels Airline Chief Executive Officer Dorothea von Boxberg said.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cThe tenth intercontinental aircraft is a clear sign of Lufthansa Group\u2019s trust in Brussels Airlines and strengthens our role as the hub to Africa for the Group.”<\/p>\n
