Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Investments, Trade, and Industry Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has told off Kenyans who are complaining about fuel prices to drill their own oil wells.<\/p>\n

In a video shared by Citizen Digital, the CS said the whole world is aware that the prices of crude oil have gone up and it is not a secret.<\/p>\n

“Ukishinda umesema bei ya mafuta imeongezeka kutoka asubuhi mpaka jioni, si uchimbe kisima chako?” he said.<\/p>\n

This is loosely translated to: When you keep on complaining that the prices of fuel have gone up, why don’t you just drill your own oil well?<\/p>\n

Appeared to have been angered by the complaints from Kenyans, Kuria said he is ready to be shown where he can drill a well for them and do it in order for prices to go down.<\/p>\n

“Sisi kwetu Ruiru tutaendelea kufanya kazi kwa bidii,” he said.<\/p>\n

(At our home in Ruiru, we shall continue working hard)<\/p>\n

From the conversations that were had on X after new fuel prices were announced, Kuria, again announced that the country will be experiencing an increase of Sh10 on fuel prices until February 2024.<\/p>\n

“Global Crude Prices are on an upward trajectory. For planning purposes expect pump prices to go up by Sh10 every month till February,” he tweeted.<\/p>\n

To add more pain to the wound, Kuria dropped another bombshell to his followers stating that petrol will retail at Sh260 by February. His statement was not received well.<\/p>\n

“I repeat. Petrol will be Sh260 by February. El Nino is coming in 3 weeks and will last till March. These are global and climate change driven,” he said.<\/p>\n

“Responsible leaders ought to tell the truth to prepare the people. You can throw stones at me all you want.”<\/p>\n
