Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Education technology company Casio Middle East and Africa FZE (CMEA) has launched a new scientific calculator seeking to advance seamless operations by learners and teachers in the learning space.<\/p>\n

The firm says the new product is in line with its mandate of empowering education in the country and has reinforced commitment with charitable donations to local schools for the new product.<\/p>\n

Dubbed \u2018ClassWiz series scientific calculator\u2019, especially fx-82CW, which is already available in the Kenyan market, the firm says it comes loaded with various features and a wide range of essential functions that are effective for education and support student’s learning.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the launch ceremony, the firm\u2019s managing director, Takashi Seimiya, said the new calculator is packed with several features aimed at simplifying mathematics and science.<\/p>\n

It promises a seamless user experience, an enhanced display and an improved keypad, making it an indispensable tool for learners and teachers alike,\u201d Takashi said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt also offers an intuitive and approachable design, loaded with basic but essential functions such as statistics and tables functions to encourage interest in mathematics for students.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added that they are committed to continue leveraging on new technology within the education sector to help further boost learning in the country and regionally.<\/p>\n

The firm also noted that the launch of the new product testifies the continued investment in the local market.<\/p>\n

It currently has has 13 branches in Europe and 9,700 employees worldwide, and has taken 11 per cent of Kenyan market with its products.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will endeavor to provide learning institutions pursuing science courses with need-driven solutions embedded in our products.\u201d<\/p>\n

Recent study by the firm shows about 23 million secondary students world wide purchase most of Casio products which translates to 50 per cent of Casio\u2019s point of purchase.<\/p>\n

Casio is also planning to show commitment in rural areas where educational resources are scarce by producing excess calculators and making them more affordable and accessible.<\/p>\n

They have also expressed their plan and will to collaborate with the Ministry of Education to ensure a seamless roll out in schools.<\/p>\n
