Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Twiga Tours, one of the oldest tour companies in Kenya, has remained a top company in the region, as it won big at this year\u2019s World Travel Awards.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1980, the firm, which offers personalised African Safari experiences in Kenya and the region scooped the Africa\u2019s Responsible Tourism Award 2023.<\/p>\n

It also took home Kenya\u2019s Leading Safari Company 2023 award and Tanzania\u2019s Leading Safari Company 2023, as Kenyan entities including hotels and parks shone at the 30th World Travel Awards-Africa and Indian Ocean Gala, in Dubai.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are honored to have been feted with these prestigious awards. We will continue to ensure we offer unique and personalised experiences to our guests,\u201d the company’s CEO Minaz Manji told the Star.<\/p>\n

Twiga Tours has curved a niche for itself, offering high-quality safari experiences within East Africa and in particular Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom a tender age, the Manji Family have traveled extensively through East Africa and with this intricate knowledge, we are able to tailor make suitable itineraries and curate once-in-a-lifetime experiences to meet specific interests,\u201d management noted.<\/p>\n

According to Manji, Africa is a continent inspired by adventure and emotion; a continent rich with culture, unimaginable wildlife experiences and some of the most breathtaking sceneries.<\/p>\n

Over the more than 43 years in operations, the company has won numerous awards and accolades acknowledging it as leaders in the industry for leadership and innovations, sustainability and responsible travel.<\/p>\n

Twiga has made a positive impact on the environment, society, and the economy with eco-friendly practices.<\/p>\n

The Manji Foundation also continues to educate and empower children from poor families living in remote locations in Kenya, helping these children better their lives and those living around them.<\/p>\n

Twiga Tours is famed for being the first company to do a bush breakfast in Kenya.<\/p>\n

Minaz sees Kenya as a unique destination offering a variety of products from beach to Safari, and a leading conference destination led by Nairobi.<\/p>\n

\u201cLook at the diversity of our product. In Nairobi, we have everything from world class hotels, restaurants and superb nightlife. We have incredible landscapes across the country with natural offerings…vast savanna filled with wildlife, white sandy beaches, diverse cultures and the warmth of the Kenyan people,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n

The tourism industry, he said, is internationally acclaimed with well-managed hotels, lodges, and restaurants among others.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is nothing that we don’t have. Kenya, in my opinion, is a winning product. We just need to tidy up some areas that need attention,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
