Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Airtel Money has updated its mobile money charges for both transfers to other networks and withdrawal transactions in Kenya.<\/p>\n

Effective from today, these changes have seen Airtel Money increase the withdrawal charges for higher amounts from Airtel Money Agents.<\/p>\n

For Instance, Customers withdrawing between Sh50,000 and Sh250,000 will pay Sh300 to withdraw at Airtel Money agents. This is a Sh30 increase from the previous rate.<\/p>\n

According to the company, charges on withdrawals in amounts between Sh1 and Sh49 will be free of charge for all clients.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the cost of transferring money to other networks including Mpesa remains unchanged.<\/p>\n

Notably, Airtel to Airtel mobile transfer fees remain free.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have reviewed our Airtel Money transaction fees to enable our customers to continue enjoying affordable prices while transacting through their mobile money wallets,\u201d Airtel Money Kenya Managing Director Anne Kinuthia Otieno said.<\/p>\n

According to Airtel Money, the maximum daily transaction value is Sh500,000.<\/p>\n

The maximum account balance that you can have for Airtel Money is Sh500,000.<\/p>\n

Further, the maximum amount per transaction for Airtel Money is Sh250,000.<\/p>\n

Airtel pointed out that for customers to transact at any Airtel Money Agent outlet, they will be required to produce their original identification document, i.e. National ID or Kenyan Passport.<\/p>\n

Airtel Money says continues to expand its agent network across the country.<\/p>\n

Customers can access the services by dialling *334# or through the My Airtel App.<\/p>\n
