Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Prime cabinet secretary Musalia Mudavadi joined other heads of state Monday for the for the G20 Compact with Africa (CwA) conference.<\/p>\n

The meeting held in Berlin brought together heads of state from 13 African countries.<\/p>\n

The conference hosted by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz was aimed at bolstering private investment in the world’s fast-growing, continent.<\/p>\n

The CwA initiative was launched in 2017 under the German G20 presidency.<\/p>\n

President William Ruto also participated in the conference.<\/p>\n

Transport cabinet secretary Kipchumba Murkomen is among those who accompanied the head of state.<\/p>\n

The gathering is part of the German government’s commitment to supporting African countries in making economic gains as European countries underscore their renewed interest in investing in Africa.<\/p>\n

Initially, there were a total of 12 Compact members which are Benin, Burkina Faso, Co\u0302te d\u2019Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Morocco, Rwanda, Senegal, Togo and Tunisia.<\/p>\n

Democratic Republic of the Congo recently joined as the 13th member with other reform-oriented states showing their interest in joining it.<\/p>\n

Angola, Kenya and Zambia will therefore be sitting at the table at the CwA Conference in Berlin.<\/p>\n
