Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>President William Ruto has announced that Kenya has partnered with Meta to monetise content.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Tuesday during the Jamhuri Day celebrations, the President said Meta has agreed to monetise content for Facebook and Instagram.<\/p>\n

“I have good news for our creatives and those who imagine and produce content through Facebook and Instagram. Just yesterday, Meta committed to helping creators in Kenya earn money for crafting original content,” he said.<\/p>\n

“Following a pilot programme with eligible creators in the country, Meta will be expanding monetisation opportunities and allowing more creators to earn a living doing what they love.”<\/p>\n

He said that Kenya possesses impressive credentials as a source of highly professional human capital with highly educated, trained, skilled and dynamic young people.<\/p>\n

This comes after the President and the TikTok Application team agreed to run a national training program aimed at empowering content creators and helping them monetise their craft.<\/p>\n

“Kenyan creatives deserve to make a livelihood from their ability to create good content. TikTok will run a national training programme in Kenya to empower content creators through comprehensive platform knowledge, fostering increased monetisation and promoting positive content,\u201d the president said in September.<\/p>\n
