Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has emphasised government’s willingness to listen to positive and objective criticism and incorporating feedback to enhance the overall wellbeing of the country.<\/p>\n

While addressing attendees at the gala night held to celebrate the conclusion of the three-day diaspora Investment Conference in Nairobi on Friday, the Prime CS said such criticism is welcome even from foreigners.<\/p>\n

“We had a visitor from South Africa not too long ago somewhere in Lukenya. Can you imagine he had a platform to criticise President William Ruto. He came in Visa-free, made his remarks and left without being arrested,” he said.<\/p>\n

Mudavadi said it’s normal for challenges to be there and people may go to court on certain issues, which is in order because it serves to make things better.<\/p>\n

“That is the Kenya we have built together and we can achieve even more. The good thing now is that when you go and meet the Diaspora, they are no longer telling you too much about the democracy but how to improve the economy, create jobs and opportunities,” the Prime CS said.<\/p>\n

Mudavadi underscored government’s commitment to having an open and candid conversation with Kenyans.<\/p>\n

He urged the Diaspora community to utilise their networks for socio-economic development across the various counties.<\/p>\n

“Your contribution to Kenya\u2019s transformation agenda will support the government\u2019s aim of improving the livelihoods of millions of Kenyans, particularly in rural areas,” he said.<\/p>\n

Harmonising with President Ruto’s clarion call for digitisation and export-led investment, Mudavadi said the discussions have not merely been talks but genesis of strategic initiatives that align with the Bottom-up Economic Transformation Agenda.<\/p>\n

The thematic sessions, according to Mudavadi, have unveiled unique perspectives and cultivated an environment for the Diaspora community to seize transformative investment opportunities.<\/p>\n

“It has enabled you to connect with others, to share information, learn from the experiences of others and collectively envisioned strategies that transcend individual perspectives,” he said.<\/p>\n

“That is a tremendous journey and we should all embrace it and join.”<\/p>\n
