Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Prime Cabinet Secretary and Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has once again dismissed claims of a tiff between him and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.<\/p>\n

Mudavadi said the Executive Order is very specific that his role is to assist the President and the Deputy President<\/p>\n

\u201cSome people are trying to create something where there is nothing, trying to create a conflict where there is none,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV, Mudavadi reiterated that he understands the role of the Deputy President and that of the President as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cI also know how to manage my role as the Prime Cabinet Secretary. The issue of conflict or competition is neither here nor there,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Mudavadi added that he has been ignoring the claims of a strained relationship between the DP and him every time they emerge.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have heard of it and ignored it. As far as I am concerned, it is a non-issue,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

The Prime Cabinet Secretary pointed out that he receives instructions from both the President and the Deputy President.<\/p>\n

\u201cInstructions from the President can be verbal or written. The President can call and say I want you to do something for me. I have also received instructions from the Deputy President. He has asked me to handle certain meetings for him or to get certain engagements carried out on his behalf,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

It is not the first time Mudavadi dismissed claims of a silent war between him and the DP.<\/p>\n

In January, Mudavadi termed the claims as an imagination in the wrong direction.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you see any injuries on me? Do you see any scars? Do I look like someone who has been fighting,\u201d he posed.<\/p>\n

Mudavadi said he sees his role as complementary to the work of President William Ruto and Rigathi.<\/p>\n
