Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>President William Ruto’s administration in 2023, according to Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, is disjointed and confused.<\/p>\n

In his New Year’s Eve statement, Kalonzo said the year has been challenging for all Kenyans in various ways.<\/p>\n

He alleged this is because during the year, most Kenyans lost their lives because of the current administration’s arrogant response to peaceful protests.<\/p>\n

The former Vice President called out the Ruto administration over the way it chose to respond to key issues affecting Kenyans, including the disbursement of funds to devolved units.<\/p>\n

“As we bid farewell to 2023, a year that has been both challenging and at times overwhelming,. Kenyans have lost their lives because of the Kenya Kwanza regime\u2019s arrogant reaction to peaceful protests,” Kalonzo said.<\/p>\n

“The year has also seen the El Nin\u0303o phenomenon visit us again. The elements of nature could not take orders from those in authority who denied its pending existence. In fact, the disbursement of funds to the counties seemed to be prevaricated. Those in control seemed confused, disorganised and ultimately overwhelmed.”<\/p>\n

He, however, noted that he believes 2024 will be a better year for all.<\/p>\n

Kalonzo called on Kenyans to keep their hopes alive, as he urged them to work hard in persuading the country to stop taking the current direction of implementing policies that are not working.<\/p>\n

He said the administration should also be discouraged from greed and corruption.<\/p>\n

“2024, I believe, will be a crucial year, indeed, a watershed moment for all of us… We have only One nation\u2014our motherland, Kenya.”<\/p>\n
