Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has said that the end of the year 2023 has marked the opening of good tidings and opportunities for all Kenyans, in the New Year, 2024.<\/p>\n

Mudavadi in his New Year message assured Kenyans of new hope, urging them to remain peaceful, prayerful, united and focused towards a better future.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe end of a season is a moment for us to reflect on the challenges we have gone through together and look ahead at the opportunities we have to improve our livelihoods,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He said 2024 comes with bigger opportunities that will turn around the livelihoods of citizens by opening new frontiers for economic growth and sustainability.<\/p>\n

He said this will bring forth great fortunes that will make Kenya stand tall amongst bigger economies globally.<\/p>\n

Mudavadi said the government continues to lay a firm foundation for sustainable economic and social transformation taking into account the hard economic times Kenyans have had to persevere.<\/p>\n

He noted that it took courage and strategy for the government to undertake a number of key policies outlined by President William Ruto in the year 2023, for the country to move towards a prosperous direction.<\/p>\n

Some, Mudavadi said were painful but for the good of all, echoing President Ruto\u2019s message that some of the choices made over the last year were neither easy, populist, nor convenient, but were meaningful, appropriate and necessary.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to assure Kenyans that no government makes decisions knowingly to hurt its citizens. With the current economic situation in the country, we had to explore what might be in the short-term painful, but in the long-term it will be gainful.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Prime Cabinet Secretary said the government is working towards investing in alternative approaches as solutions to challenges facing the country.<\/p>\n

“It will no longer be business as usual as the government is not going to bank on the norm but look for what works for the country moving into the future.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet us collectively turn the tide… We can no-longer continue digging the hole but look for ways of getting out of the hole,\u201d Mudavadi said.<\/p>\n

He emphasized on the need for Kenyans to be law abiding citizens and that they must invest in peace and stability, as well as embrace togetherness.<\/p>\n

Mudavadi reiterated the governments\u2019 commitment to the promises made to Kenyans that they shall live up to every single commitment made and in case of any challenges, Kenyans will be told the truth.<\/p>\n

He called on Kenyans to always remember that Kenya is our motherland and it is our collective duty to make it better for ourselves and the generations to come.<\/p>\n

\u201cI take this opportunity to wish you God\u2019s grace and blessings for a successful 2024.<\/p>\n

Let us continue to put smile on the faces of our loved ones and remember the less fortunate in the society who need our Love and compassion.\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
