Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa is now calling on Western leaders to unite so that they can realise the dream of leading the country.<\/p>\n

The governor spoke in Bumula constituency, Bungoma county on Wednesday during the NG-CDF tournament finals.<\/p>\n

Barasa asked former Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya, DAP-K party leader Eugene Wamalwa to unite with National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang\u2019ula and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi so that they form a strong team that will compete with others.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe shall only realise our dream of leading this country if we are united,\u201d Barasa said.<\/p>\n

He noted that the Mulembe nation is the second largest community in the country but leaders are not united.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnity is the only way our numbers can count when it comes to electing the head of state,\u201d he said, adding that in 2032 Luhya community must have a Presidential candidate.<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cI will be on the forefront to involve big brothers in unity talks until we are united.\u201d<\/p>\n

The governor also called on the county governments to support sporting activities, arguing that sports is the only way talented youths can make money for sustainability.<\/p>\n

\u201cSports is the only future for this country, we must support talented youths so that big teams can scout for them,\u201d Lugari MP Nabii Nabwera said.<\/p>\n
