Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>UDA Secretary General Cleophas Malala has castigated Azimio leader Raila Odinga after he censured President William Ruto over his remarks on Judiciary.<\/p>\n

Malala said the Azimio leader \u201chas no moral authority to lecture the President on judicial independence.\u201d<\/p>\n

“When you see him purporting to lecture Ruto on matters constitutionalism, respect for the rule of law, and judicial independence, Kenyans must look at him in the eyes and demand that for once, he comes clean on his intentions this time round,\u201d Malala stated.<\/p>\n

In a statement, Malala said Raila knows that if the Government delivers on its projects, he will have not an iota of a chance to challenge the current administration in 2027.<\/p>\n

Malala said Ruto has kept the promises he made to the Judiciary and all independent offices.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has ensured their financial allocations are increased to allow them to perform their duties effectively, and more especially in the fight against corruption,\u201d Malala said.<\/p>\n

He said the Azimio leader\u2019s criticism of Ruto\u2019s declaration to fight corruption among rogue judicial officers allegedly sabotaging government projects must be interrogated.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, Raila hit out at Ruto over attacks on the Judiciary insisting that its independence must be guarded.<\/p>\n

Raila came out guns blazing to castigate Ruto over his recent remarks and corrupt accusations against the judiciary.<\/p>\n

Raila termed the outburst by the President as \u201cunacceptable,\u201d terming it a sign of an \u201cimpending absolute dictatorship\u201d in the nation.<\/p>\n
