Kalonzo tells executive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has asked the executive to leave the Judiciary to perform its mandate.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on Tuesday, Kalonzo said the attack on the Judiciary is inappropriate.<\/p>\n<p>This comes in the wake of criticism that targets the Judiciary accusing them of corruption.<\/p>\n<p>President William Ruto and his allies alleged that the Judiciary are conspiring with their political competitors.<\/p>\n<p>However, the Wiper leader called for the cease of the attacks towards the judiciary.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am waiting to see whether Chief Justice Martha Koome will receive Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, he said he is going to lead a protest. I want to see that because that will be the culmination of absurdity about the relationship between the Executive and the Judiciary,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are witnessing very absurd situations and we must say enough is enough. Please leave the Judiciary alone.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Gachagua said that he would file a petition with the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) to have Justice Esther Maina removed from office.<\/p>\n<p>The DP accused the judge of declaring part of his wealth as proceeds of crime without considering his application to cross-examine the investigator.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will lead the Executive by example. On Thursday, I will personally present a petition to the CJ against Justice Esther Maina for her removal from the Judiciary,\u201d Gachagua said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe judge declared my wealth as proceeds of crime against rules of evidence. We made an application to summon the investigator but she refused.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The DP invited other Kenyans with petitions to accompany him on the said day.<\/p>\n<p>The President said the onslaught is not against the independence of the Judiciary but a few alleged corrupt individuals out to \u201csabotage the work of the government\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to deal firmly with those who want to hide behind the independence of the Judiciary so that they can sabotage the development of Kenya.
