Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula has called on the people for unity to drive the country in the right direction.<\/p>\n

He said all leaders elected to power deserve to be given a chance for them to show what they can do for the people.<\/p>\n

The National Assembly Speaker was speaking on Sunday during an interdenominational church service in Teso South, Busia County.<\/p>\n

President William Ruto and a host of other leaders including Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi were present during the event at Machakusi ACK church.<\/p>\n

“You know politics is just a game. People try different ways and once they are done, we have to sit together to build our country and take care of Kenyans’ needs. We also ensure those leaders elected; MCAs, governors, and the President are given the chance to work for Kenyans,” he said.<\/p>\n

Wetangula noted that the time will come for those who have always wanted to vie for seats to do so.<\/p>\n

He said now is the time to focus on the major changes to be made in the country.<\/p>\n

The speaker said to solve the challenges faced by the country, there has to be unity.<\/p>\n

“The whistle will be blown. For now, let us all focus on resolving the challenges that our country is facing. If we work together those challenges will be much lighter to resolve but if we don’t they will magnify,” he said.<\/p>\n

“That is my request on how we can drive our country.”<\/p>\n
