Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Former Gaspo stopper Pauline Kuthure’s move to Vihiga Queens during this transfer window will serve as a stepping stone to greener pastures abroad.<\/p>\n

Kuthure said her target has always been to play overseas before ending her football career.<\/p>\n

“Sports is well paying out there and my prayer is to get one of the best teams that will change my life for good,” Kuthure said.<\/p>\n

She added: “Joining Vihiga Queens gives me hope that one day I will play professional soccer,” she added.<\/p>\n

Kuthure signed for Vihiga Queens after exiting Gaspo Ladies which is on the verge of collapse due to lack of funds.<\/p>\n

Among the key players who have secured greener pastures via Vihiga Queens’ are Teresiah Ingesia, Jentrix Shikangwa, Barther Omata, Janet Bundi, former Captain Enez Mango, Anitter Namata, Lilian Awour among other key players.\u200b<\/p>\n

Vihiga Queens’ head coach Boniface Nyamunyamu said Kuthure is one of the best stoppers and he is happy she is now on board.<\/p>\n

“If she gets a new deal outside the country, that will be a different story but releasing her into the local market will be a tall order,” he said.<\/p>\n

He said Kuthure is an ambitious player with great hopes that will propel her far in the world of soccer<\/p>\n

The tactician said having her on their side would boost their goalkeeping unit after the exit of Lilian Awour, Sophy Akinyi, and Winfreder Seda.<\/p>\n
