Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Lenana School rugby coach Nick Abok will have to improve their tactical discipline ahead of the Nairobi County Games slated for next month.<\/p>\n

Fresh from winning the Founders Day tournament last week at home, where they beat Mangu 10-3 in the final, Abok said there is room for improvement.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m happy we won the tournament but with roughly a month to the County Games, we have to improve on our set-piece both our scrum and line out,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The coach also expressed concern with the kick-chase game and defence, saying they are not yet there.<\/p>\n

It was sweet revenge for Abok\u2019s charges who had lost to Mangu 28-14 in the semifinals of the Alliance Open a week ago and the tactician believes his charges are hitting form at the right time.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think from a conditioning point, we are getting better. By the time the County Games begin, we will be firing on all cylinders and we will be in a position to win the county title and represent Nairobi at the National Games in Machakos in April,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Abok lauded the involvement of some of the alumni of the school like Kabras assistant coach Max Adaka who motivated the team during the tournament last week. \u201cKabras had a training session here at our grounds last week before they played Quins in the Kenya Cup and Adaka spoke to the players and encouraged them to give it their best shot and restore the side to their old glories,\u201d observed Abok.<\/p>\n

Abok side lost in the semis last year to eventual champions Ofafa Jericho 15-10 but believes they are primed to make a good run.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe lost in the semis by five points and we have continuously improved our facets of play. Our involvement in these two tournaments will give us confidence and help us win the Nairobi title,\u201d added<\/p>\n

His charges are slated to play in the Mangu Open tournament this weekend after which they will intensify their preparations.<\/p>\n
