Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Leaders Black Mamba are in action as the Kenya Handball Federation (KHF) league resumes at Kaloleni courts on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Mamba, who are fifth on the 25-team log with 17 points from eight wins, play the Technical University of Kenya (TUK) who are 21st.<\/p>\n

Playing at their backyard, Mamba should expect huge support from their home fans as they chase the top guns.<\/p>\n

“We have trained well and we hope to get two points against Spartans. I think we have an opportunity to give out our best against Black Mamba and, hopefully, get a fair result,” said TUK tactician Lawrence Wafula.<\/p>\n

The games are resuming after a break in January due to the national men’s team assignment in Cairo, Egypt.<\/p>\n

Kenya found the going rough as they finished 14th in the Africa Nations Cup cum All Africa Games qualifiers 16-team tournament.<\/p>\n

Other matches will see Strathmore University, who are placed seventh with seven wins in 11 games, take on Daystar University \u2014 who are ninth with similar wins.<\/p>\n

Buccaneers have a date with Spartans as Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (Jkuat) tackle a young Inspired side.<\/p>\n

In the ladies matches, Rising Star, who have won only one of their seven ties, meet Daystar University, NYS and Mountain.<\/p>\n

‘Strath’, who lost their highly-experienced coach Peter Mwathi to the newly formed Equity Bank, confront Nanyuki, who have 13 points from six wins in 10 matches.<\/p>\n

Buccaneers who are 12th with five wins from eight matches tackle Anthony Naburuck-coached National Youth Service (NYS).<\/p>\n

“I’ve lost some of my players to classes but I have also recruited new ones. I have had some friendlies to see how they are integrated into the system,” said Naburuck.<\/p>\n

“I will see how they adapt in our first matches \u2014 both men and women. But from what I have seen, we are good to go.”<\/p>\n

Inspired, a team composed of Hospital Hill students, also play Hunters as TUK return for a date with Spartan.<\/p>\n

An all-varsity duel of the day will have Daystar renew varsity rivalry with Jkuat.<\/p>\n
