Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>A fresh storm is brewing in Western Kenya after Ford- Kenya leaders accused Trans Nzoia Governor Natembeya of undermining Musalia Mudavadi and National Assembly Speaker, Moses Wetangula.<\/p>\n

Speaking at a funeral service in Bungoma County, the leaders cautioned the Governor stating that he was contributing in derailing the region from achieving its political ambitions.<\/p>\n

According to the leaders, Natembeya\u2019s continuous remarks about the two senior leaders and Ford-Kenya politicians in general are disrespectful and out of sync with his status as a community leader.<\/p>\n

They therefore cautioned the Governor to respect their leadership and desist from mentioning them in negative light.<\/p>\n

Further, they reiterated that the party is the second-oldest in Kenya, and was deserving of the Governor\u2019s respect.<\/p>\n

However, some leaders cautioned the Governor, that they were ready to continue the face-off if that was the direction he aimed to take.<\/p>\n

In his defence, the Governor explained that he was not afraid of pointing out the Western leader\u2019s mistakes in case he felt that they were steering the community in the wrong direction.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we say that is not the direction, that is not lack of respect, I will not accept us to be led blindly, because if I say we are not moving in the right direction I will be accused of disrespected,\u2019\u2019 stated Natembeya<\/p>\n

Additionally, on Saturday, MCAs affiliated with the Governor had engaged in a face-off with those from of the Ford- Kenya Party over the same stalemate stating that the party was sabotaging the governor\u2019s leadership.<\/p>\n

However, those from Ford-Kenya had accused the Governor of dismissing and undermining their leader, Moses Wetangala.<\/p>\n

Earlier on, Natembeya had stated that the party\u2019s leaders do not deserve to be in leadership as they were leading the Luhya community astray.<\/p>\n

The deepening wrangles have continued to simmer within the community with different factions insisting they are right.<\/p>\n
