Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Global pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, has been recognised among firms undertaking the best workplace practices in Kenya.<\/p>\n

The company attained top employer and Best Place to Work certifications across key African markets.<\/p>\n

The Best Place to Work programme\u2019s proprietary assessment analyses organisations\u2019 attractiveness through a two-step process, focusing on eight workplace factors: culture, leadership, opportunities for growth, and people practices.<\/p>\n

Best Places to Work is a global certification program that recognizes leading workplaces in many countries around the world.<\/p>\n

While in Kenya, South Africa, and Nigeria, the firm got top employer status; it was named the best place to work in Ivory Coast, Cameroon, and Senegal.<\/p>\n

AstraZeneca, Country President African Cluster, Deepak Arora attributes these achievements to the company\u2019s environmental, social, and corporate governance efforts.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur recent certifications reaffirm our dedication to upholding the highest standards in people practices and fostering an inclusive, supportive, and innovative workplace culture and environment,\u201d Arora said.<\/p>\n

The biopharmaceutical company\u2019s success in obtaining the Top Employer Certification is attributed to its good performance across six key HR domains consisting of 20 topics, including people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning, and diversity, among others.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will continue to tailor our practices to the unique needs of each region, ensuring that every member of the AstraZeneca family experiences a workplace that not only meets but exceeds their expectations,\u201d Shelleny Govender, Human Resource Director African Cluster at AstraZeneca, stated.<\/p>\n
