Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>A global player in Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) industry, Bureau Veritas, has taken over the operation and management of Kenya\u2019s Yana Oil Limited lubricating oil blending plant in Nairobi, effective from March 1, 2024.<\/p>\n

Through the partnership the French firm is looking to grow its presence in the region.<\/p>\n

Yana Oil operates a Lube Oil Blending Plant (LOBP) in Nairobi with a total capacity of 20 million litres per year.<\/p>\n

The Nairobi based company was established in 2020 and manufactures lubricants for both automotive and industrial purposes such as engine oils and coolants, serving some of the major oil players in the market.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis partnership marks a significant step forward for Bureau Veritas supporting the Oil & Petrochemical clients in East Africa. We are committed to leverage our technology, knowledge, capabilities, and experience to provide exceptional regulatory support and quality assurance to clients,\u201d said Bureau Veritas Senior Vice President for Africa.<\/p>\n

Bureau Veritas expressed confidence that the collaboration not only strengthened its presence in the region but also underscored its dedication to supporting clients in addressing challenges of safety, quality, and sustainability in the oil and petrochemical industry.<\/p>\n

East Africa district chief executive of Bureau Veritas, Cyprian Kabbis, stated that by taking over the operation of the Yana Oil Lubricants Laboratory, Bureau Veritas aimed to elevate industry standards and ensure that all related products meet rigorous quality requirements.<\/p>\n

He added that the partnership and the opportunity to offer their technical capabilities would ensure the provision of precise results to major players within the industry.<\/p>\n

Kamran Kangari, CEO of Yana Oil Limited, expressed excitement about the partnership saying the will benefit from their vast experience and capabilities.<\/p>\n

“Their involvement will undoubtedly enhance our operations and help us deliver even greater value to our customers,” said Kangari<\/p>\n
