Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>President William Ruto on Monday cracked up leaders during his encounter with youthful Mumias East MP Peter Salasya.<\/p>\n

The President was greeting leaders upon arriving in Kakamega to open the Kakamega County International Investment Conference when he mingled with Salasya.<\/p>\n

Members of the National Assembly and Senate had lined up to welcome the President to the county.<\/p>\n

The president, while shaking the hands of leaders called them by their names asking how their constituencies were fairing.<\/p>\n

The turn came for the Mumias East legislator, who was seemingly excited to greet him.<\/p>\n

He firmly shook his hands while maintaining direct eye contact with the camera.<\/p>\n

The President asked him how he was doing and he replied that he was doing well with a broad smile.<\/p>\n

His response sent the leaders to burst into laughter.<\/p>\n

Ruto carried on with the conversation asking him why he had not combed his hair.<\/p>\n

“Mbona haujachanua nywele,” the President asked.<\/p>\n

(Why have you not combed your hair).<\/p>\n

The MP hilariously replied saying “Ukisema nitachanua”.<\/p>\n

His response sent the President and the crowd into laughter.<\/p>\n

The first-time MP is known for his slightly long rugged hairstyle.<\/p>\n

The President officially opened the Kakamega County International Investment Conference on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The four-day forum will see Governor Fernandes Barasa-led county sign aMemorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with various investors.<\/p>\n

The event at the Masinde Muliro University is themed \u2018Opening up Counties as the New Frontiers for Investment and Development\u2019.<\/p>\n
