Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has urged Kenyans to embrace hard work and commitment towards building the nation.<\/p>\n

Mudavadi said there is no room for lamentations and blame game saying there is a need to focus on working towards economic growth.<\/p>\n

Mudavadi said President William Ruto\u2019s government cannot work without the support of citizens as the custodians of nationhood.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we want to free ourselves from the hard times and poverty, we have to work hard as a people. We need to support the leadership and rally together in unity and a working nation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeace is very important. You have seen what is happening globally in regions where there is no peace, we need to build our peace as a nation and that is the clarion call of the current administration.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Prime CS was speaking at the Iftar Dinner when he met the Kakamega Muslim community.<\/p>\n

He said President Ruto\u2019s administration has confidence in religion and he encouraged the Muslim community in Kenya to support the government in uniting Kenyans.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith at least 543 Mosques in the Western Kenya region, we appreciate the Muslim community in the Western region and we are looking forward to their support to help the country unite for a prosperous future,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Mudavadi said the government at all times will support public participation as an anchor to good governance.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have policies that govern the country in many sectors. Like now we have the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) being transformed into Social Health Insurance Fund. Kenyans have moved to court, as a constitutional right on such matters and the government has respected it,\u201d Mudavadi remarked.<\/p>\n

Mudavadi said it is not time for politicking but to work for the citizens.<\/p>\n

He urged leaders to shun political rhetoric and work for Kenyans.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have 3 Ramadhan festivities and 3 Christmas festivities ahead of the 2027 general election as mandated by the constitution. Leaders are supposed to work towards addressing the concerns of Kenyans not moving around politicking day and night,\u201d Mudavadi said.<\/p>\n

\u201cFocus should be on economic resuscitation, not siasa. When will we work if, after every election cycle, we go back to politics and campaigns? Where will the youth get jobs? Farmers are out there waiting for us to deliver.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mudavadi assured the Muslim Community of President Ruto\u2019s support citing key appointments made in the current administration with Muslims holding various key positions in security and defence dockets<\/p>\n
