Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Passengers will be able to fly directly to from Nairobi to Abu Dhabi from May 1, 2024, as Etihad Airways is set to resume flights to Kenya.<\/p>\n

Etihad Airways had ceased flights to Nairobi in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and related travel restrictions that followed.<\/p>\n

The new route connects Kenya\u2019s capital with Etihad\u2019s growing global network, and will help foster important cultural and economic ties between the UAE and the East African powerhouse.<\/p>\n

Late last year the Airline revealed that it was in advanced plans to resume the direct flights to Kenya.<\/p>\n

“We are thrilled to be re-starting flights to Nairobi, a dynamic and exciting city in itself and also the gateway to a Kenyan safari, a dream adventure for many travellers, offering a view of the diverse and magnificent wildlife of Africa,\u201d said Etihad Airways Chief Executive Officer Antonoaldo Neves.<\/p>\n

The flights will restore commercial non-stop passenger connections between the two cities, and guests from Kenya will be able to connect with Etihad flights to the GCC, the US, Europe, India and South-East Asia.<\/p>\n

The link will further stimulate cross-business and trade opportunities between the UAE and the growing Kenyan economy.<\/p>\n

For travelers from East Africa, the new Nairobi route opens up enticing prospects to discover Abu Dhabi’s cultural treasures and savor its renowned hospitality. From the majestic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque to the splendor of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the city offers a captivating blend of modernity and heritage, complemented by Emirati warmth.<\/p>\n

Etihad will operate daily flights to Nairobi using the advanced Airbus A320, featuring Business and Economy cabins along with the airline’s acclaimed service.<\/p>\n
